This was an amazing experience! I wish there was a location in my town. Definitely a vibe. We were a party of 6 hanging in age from 12 to 43 and we all had experiences worth sharing. Will revisit and recommend if ever in the area.

Relaxing and hypnotic. The melodies of the sound bath rocked me into a calm meditation. The warm salt stones kept me grounded. The chamomile tea at the end was the perfect touch of thoughtfulness to my experience. Highly recommend!

My family and I did the Salt & Sound experience. We were treated very well, the receptionist was friendly and gave us clear instructions. I've been there with my family that came to visit from Italy and we had an amazing and unique experience. We tried the Salt and Sound Experience, the space was clean, cozy, the lady that attended us was super nice and made us feel welcome.
The session left us recharged and relaxed.
I definitely recommend it to anyone who need to disconnect and recharge.
It made the difference in this holiday.

I attended the Winter Solstice Live Sound Journey on Dec 20th and it was a beatuiful experience. I was greeted by the staff when entering the Durham Salt Cave and given some delicious warm tea while they were setting up for us in another room. Upon finding our space in the room we were provided with comfortable bolsters, blanket, eye pillow and a warm stone to settle us in. The music was very relaxing and the guided words were leading us to relax and receive a deep state of calmness which felt incredible. I would encourage everyone reading this to prioritze you self-care and especially if you are feeling a need to find some inner relaxation and peace of mind let the Durham Salt Cave facilitate your experience with letting go and truly relaxing.

5 stars! This place is truly an oasis in the middle of downtown Durham. Kind, expert staff; super clean with beautiful decor; and the most peaceful, relaxing experience I've had in a very long time. The zero-gravity lounge chairs are amazing. I'll be back!

We loved our time at the Salt Cave! It is a hidden treasure in the Bull City; from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, it was tranquil and relaxing. Kelsey, our host, was calm and inviting, and she took care of us at every step. We learned about salt's many benefits and felt we could breathe more deeply after our session. It was a gift to simply lose track of time while taking care of our minds and bodies. The facility was immaculately clean, and we know about cleaning. We highly recommend this experience, and we will return.

I recently came in for a salt room session and cannot describe in words the healing power of the experience!
The space holders are incredibly present, kind, informative, and receptive to guests' needs and it is clear that the people and energies of the space are truly healing individuals and the community.
I cannot recommend them highly enough for any of your somatic needs especially related to sinus/airway cleansing, sound immersion, massage, and general stress relief.

Last week, our family of five, including three teenage daughters, had a family halotherapy in the spacious Salt Cave Suite. Together it was some of the most enjoyable relaxation and comfort we have had together. Each family member took away various gifts of the session, including clearer breathing, muscle relaxation, and serenity. The sound, salt, and legato loungers therapy combined to deliver an amazingly peaceful experience for the entire family. I highly recommend family sessions!! Our teenagers loved it!

Donovan asked questions and then created a massage designed to fill my exact needs, and explained in advance how he would do that. He has great credentials, but also the hands and heart that make it a truly healing experience. I have loved every visit to Durham Salt Cave.

It was my wife and I 5th year wedding anniversary, my wife is earthy and loves anything pertaining to healthy cleansing. I thought this would be the perfect treat and I did not miss. It was amazing! Alesia welcomed us to Durham salt cave, the ambiance in the lobby, the soft music tones, the smell of the building, the pure feeling when you walk in. The salt suite itself was immaculate, we loved the intimacy and the free space. The chairs were super comfortable, the salt stones were a must! Alesia was amazing, she made the experience even more top tier. She was very helpful, warming to the experience, and helped us embrace our anniversary. She gave us a cute token of love with a little baggie and a “Happy Anniversary” card, that truly made my wife tear up. It definitely left a positive impression on us, that we will forever remember and helped make our milestone extra special! We will definitely be coming back, and for those who question whether you should partake with the Durham Salt Cave. You better do it, because let me tell you.. it was an experience, a peaceful one. Good vibes only, peace and blessings!

I had a lovely restorative session at the Durham Salt Cave last week and was very pleased with my experience. From the moment I walked in the doors, I felt more relaxed than I've felt in a while - a total-body feeling that only increased during my session! I really loved getting to pull an oracle card and a botanical card afterwards while enjoying a cup of tea. 🙂 It was a deeply rejuvenating experience from start to finish.

Deep Relaxation at Durham's Salt Cave
My husband and I sought stress relief and found it! A 45-minute session in the salt cave left us feeling relaxed and tranquil. The unique atmosphere – salt floor, walls, and air – helped us reach a deeper state of inner peace. The guided meditation at the beginning bridged the gap between the external world and inner healing.
Everything about this experience, from the moment you walk in to exiting, is intentional and designed to promote relaxation.
Definitely recommend Durham Salt Cave!

A short while ago I had the fortune to experience the Durham Salt Cave,,, OH MY!
Just prior to my appointment, perhaps coincidentally, I had enjoyed the pleasurable notion of motion with in an ecstatic dance wave next door.
With that complimentary illuminating energy I entered the foyer of the Cave. First sensation was a wizened warmth from a feeling of being immersed in a forest of bamboo. This was professionally complimented by the calming presence of Alesia who greeted me. She clearly explained what was available and some simple ways to better realize the caves sound, salt and subtle yet distinct sensorial experience.
Shortly after that, the experience gently began. I was gradually and comfortably embraced thru a spectrum of sensations that shepherd me into a deep relaxation with feelings of clarity and peace. In the course of this wonderful insightfulness I also experienced what I'll call, a form of inner illumination. At the time, that all to brief experiential sense of both clarity and inspiration felt sooo goodly obvious that I smile as I mention it now.
You simply have to try it to find it.
Three things I would suggest although hardly required for the first timer,, 1) Ck out the Durham Salt Caves website before you go. 2) Come willing to grow. 3) Bring a good friend and make a day of it all.

The Durham Salt Cave is a delightful escape. The ambiance is warm and inviting. The Cave experience with the zero gravity chairs, relaxing music, hot stones and of course salt air were very relaxing. We will be back

This is a must do! If you are looking for a restorative experience in the heart of Durham, this is the place. I booked a session for my oldest daughters 28th birthday. We were greeted by a lovely young woman named Kelsey who set us up with a fresh brewed cup of peppermint tea, while we waited for our session. The overall vibe in the space is gentle, relaxing as soon as you enter off of the street. The immediate impression was cared for. We were then taken in to the dressing area to change. We were asked to leave our baggage and electronics at the entrance. On entering the cave, the light is dim and space is beautiful. The temperature is comfortable. On your zero g custom made chairs are a lovely blanket to further promote comfort.We were offered eye pillows and hot stones. Kelsey explained not only the process but origins of salt caves. She helped us settle in and connect with ourselves. The session began and all I can say is I was oddly in and out of conscieness during the 45 min process. I awoke to a gentle bell and then directive to fully come back to the present. I felt refreshed and renewed. We dressed had another cup of tea and were ready to face the day with a clearer mind then what we came in with. The booking process was easy and the price was worth it. Don't Miss it!

I took my husband here for his birthday to have a unique experience. We did the 45 min salt cave/sound therapy and we had a lovely, relaxing time. We booked the salt suite, but since there were no other parties at our appointment time we were “upgraded” to the cave.
I wore a tank and thick leggings because it was a cold day, but next time I’ll probably wear shorts to be able to expose as much of myself as possible while in the cave. You are given a comfy blanket and hot stones, but I found it pretty warm in there that day and didn’t need the blanket.
My only extremely slight negative is we were sat in the loungers closest to the fan(?) that pumps out the medical grade salt during the experience, and with my ADHD I found the whirring of the fan louder than the sound therapy in the beginning (which is quiet in the beginning) and it was distracting and prevented me from falling into total relaxation. My husband didn’t even notice it though, and he was transfixed before our guide even left the room. Next time I’ll prefer to sit further from the fan.
My husband tends to not be into “woo woo” but he said his experience was amazing - he was so relaxed he could barely lift his arms. He fell asleep and said it was a hypnotic state. The owner is extremely kind and soothing. It’s incredible he built the place himself too, everything is just beautiful and so carefully considered. We will definitely be back, we would love to try having a massage before entering the salt room. This business is an amazing addition to Durham. Definitely try it! Thank you!

My wife and I had an extraordinary experience at the Durham Salt Cave. Upon entering, we were greeted by a calming and welcoming atmosphere. We booked the two-person suite, which was truly amazing. I’ve never experienced anything like it and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Although it can be challenging to quiet our minds, my wife and I left feeling incredibly relaxed. The atmosphere and the assistance we received from the young woman at the front desk, whose name escapes me, were exceptional. She was very sweet, explained everything thoroughly, and ensured we had a wonderful visit. We definitely plan to return.

First, you are met with a calm lobby space, with plants and soft lighting and music that soothes the soul. A friendly face greets you with a genuine smile and soothing voice. The rest of the experience is one of unique tranquility, as the walls of salt hold you and receive what you are releasing, whether it be in the salt cave sound healing or via massage by a skilled practitioner. Every time at the salt cave feels like a unique, healing experience, and I am so grateful to have this service to our community.

My visit to the salt cave was pleasant. The attendant was professional and polite. She thoroughly explained everything to my friends and I. The adjustable recliner chairs were comfortable. We we also offered a blanket each, which made the experience cozier. It was a relaxing experience!

They even let me hang out after my session with some chammomile tea to ensure a smooth transition back into....the WORLD (dun dun DUN) 👀. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Durham's Salt Cave and sound bath for an experience that I can only describe as truly relaxing and rejuvenating. From the moment you step into the cave, the atmosphere is peaceful, calming, and inviting. The combination of soothing music, warm lighting, and comforting temperature creates a space that is conducive to deep relaxation.
The sound bath portion of the experience was particularly wonderful. The combination of gentle sounds and vibrations creates a feeling of complete tranquility. I felt so relaxed after the session that it was hard to believe how quickly time had passed!
I can highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a way to release stress, relax the mind and body, or simply enjoy some quiet time. It was truly magical!

I visited the Salt room about a week and a half post abdominal surgery. The experience was super relaxing and healing, and my surgical site appears to be healing well ahead of schedule. Highly recommend for both general relaxation and also healing from surgery etc.

This place is a wonderful escape from day to day grind in “the real world” Bruce and Aubrey made me feel very safe and at home. The salt cave is the best salt room I have ever experienced, the lights, the music, the chairs, weighted blankets were all such a treat. I wasn't sure I'd enjoy myself. I'm not one for sort of new age experiences. But I genuinely enjoyed the entire vibe. Restful, soothing. The loungers are next level, the host was a delight, the sound bath was incredible. I've already made plans to return. So worth it.

A truly unique experience to rejuvenate your whole being. The atmosphere was cultivated to create an oasis in the middle of the city to allow you to be a state to be receptive of all of the benefits available to you.
We did the Salt Suite. From the warm welcome, the easy flow and peaceful guided intention, to the immersive experience that took us on a restorative journey back to ourselves after the stress of the holidays.

This was such a lovely and relaxing experience! My husband and I enjoyed the 2 person salt and sound. We were given blankets and warm salt stones, then we placed on headphones and were able to also feel the vibrations in the chairs. The entire experience left us feeling so rejuvenated! The only complaint I have is how fast 45 minutes passed!

So very glad this place exists. My first visit provided me the space to learn how to meditate, and in so doing proved to be the spark that set off a virtuous cycle of rejuvenation in my life. I highly recommend for anyone who has tried meditation before but felt like they never really "got it." Durham Salt Cave has cultivated a space that allows you to explore stillness. It's become a go-to for when friends and family visit. Perfect for a group of 3-6 people.

Thank you for the incredible experience. Recently my spouse and I shared a mutual first dip into the Salt Cave. The generous and gracious hosts Bruce and Aubrey made us feel cherished. Their cave setting included a salt floor, an accompanying soundscape and adjustable chairs. went in very anxious and stressed, and figured it would be a waste of time as i wasn’t in a good mindset. i was totally wrong. within 10 minutes, i felt a huge emotional release and my body started relaxing. i left breathing much better and feeling a calm i haven’t felt in a long time! the wonderful person working made me feel very safe and comfortable.

It was such a relaxing and amazing experience. Alesia and Bruce were so understanding and provided a refund when two of our friends couldn't attend due to being sick. Bruce did an amazing job of walking us through the process and making sure we were comfortable. The chairs were amazing and unique and allowed for total relaxation. The hot stones we were given was my favorite part and the warm tea at the end was the cherry on top. I would absolutely go again!

Visiting Cave & Spa was a deliciously novel experience; it felt like a healing temple. The translucent salt walls provided a warm glow and the bed of pink salt underfoot was both grounding and exotic. I was immediately comfortable in the soft leather, adjustable recliner and chose to listen to the soothing, trance-like music using headphones while my wife relaxed in silence. The session itself is pure magic! 45 minutes of extreme comfort in the most amazing chairs, healing sound wave therapy with headphones and chairs that vibrate with the sounds so nicely (my favorite part!), holding warm salt stones that feel so lovely, while in a beautifully made salt cave and taking deep salty breaths...love it! Will definitely be back. Highly recommend for anyone in need of some space to really relax and reconnect 💜

My daughter and I loved this experience and now i want to go back several times in a row! I really felt the detox effect but in such a calm, not difficult way but my system was definitely re-set through this experience! Just the asthetic alone is healing! I love the Durham Salt Cave! This would be a wonderful Holiday gift!

My husband and I visited Salt Cave on a date or relaxation, and I immediately felt energy from all the plants in the entry way. Since all the sessions are private due to covid-19, we were able to start right away upon arrival. The warm and inviting atmosphere really encouraged me to ground myself for my meditation. The cave was light and airy and the chairs are amazing! I enjoyed wearing the headphones for part of the session, and off for part. I really felt light, calm, and energized from the time in the cave. I am really interested in going back, even with the 40 minute drive from Wake Forest!

My husband and I visited the Durham Salt Cave and it was wonderful! The owners were so welcoming and attentive. They thanked us numerous times for being there which was so sweet. The session was relaxing and tranquil. We especially liked the comfortable chairs they had. The spa was beautifully decorated with bamboo and other natural elements. This is a must, book your appointment now. You won’t be disappointed!
